    Notes;
    Cover is the same as normal W.German press, cd says Made in France by PDO, matrix; 888-788-03#

    OBI strip with white `cbs` logo at bottom & 2300 yen price & red `disc` on the spine
    OBI strip with black `cbs` logo at bottom & 2300 yen price but NO `disc` on the spine
    OBI strip with black `cbs` logo at bottom & 2153 yen price & red `disc` on the spine
    the Japanese versions are the only ones to have the lyrics included, both are very rare and all copies are hard to find complete with the OBI strips

    The "Garage Days" long box cover is the rarest of all the long box covers

    Notes;
    Two minor versions of the `spiral` centered version exsist;
    1) w/ 888 788-2 02 # & made in W.Germany by PDO - later versions have;
    2) w/ 888 788-2 03 # & made in Germany
  15. Mercury/Phonogram W.Germany 1987, with "clear" centered disc, "$5.98 E.P." (888 788-2)
    Notes;
    Clear centered versions have the matrix; 888 788-2 03 # (no country of origin in the matrix)
  16. Mercury/Phonogram W.Germany 1989, miss pressed version, plays "Ride The Lightning" (888 788-2) 
    Notes;
    Miss pressed, plays the entire "Ride The Lightning" album !!
    One known copy located in Germany, owned by Andreas, matrix is the same as the normal Ride The Lightning cd

    bootleg copies;

  17. "Mercury/Phonogram" "W.Germany", bootleg copy of first German version, "$5.98 E.P." (888 788-2)
    Notes;
    All german copies (official & bootleg!) misspell; "last careS" on the disc, bootleg copy was probably made in Germany!!
    Bootlegs are difficult to spot, some copies have a much brighter blue Metallica logo on the back cover
    Bootleg copies have matrix; "888-788-2", `spiral` centers and lack the "Made in W.Germany by PDO" etching
  18. "Mercury/Vertigo" "W.Germany", bootleg copy with `MY 1294` matrix (888 788-2)
    Notes;
    Generally listed as being a Holland press for some reason (?), cd print is red/white instead or red/grey

  19. "Polygram/Sung eum" "Korea", bootleg copy with different back cover, "$9.98 C.D." (SEL-RP 1038)
    Notes;
    This bootleg version has tracks 2 & 3 in the wrong order, possibly bootlegged in Korea

    ADDITIONAL;
    The USA & Canadian versions were titled "$9.98 C.D." because that was the selling price when it came out
    The E.P. was never meant to be a "proper" album and was deleted around `89 after selling 1,000,000 copies

    there are several different bootleg cd`s called; `the $5.98 CD Garage Days Re-Revisited.and more (or + 9 bonus tracks)`, these are bootlegs and are listed on the bootleg cd`s page
